Every spec verified safe

How it works

Three steps from zero to working app. No coding experience needed.

01

Pick a spec

Browse the marketplace and find a blueprint for the app you want. Every spec is verified safe. From $3.

Specs are organised by category, difficulty, and build time, so you can filter to exactly what you're ready to tackle.

02

Paste and build

Open Claude Code (it's free). Paste the spec in. Claude reads it and starts building. You just follow along.

A good spec has already made every architectural decision for you: the tech stack, the build sequence, the gotchas. Claude follows the spec, not a vague prompt.

03

Own your app

You get a working app on your machine. No subscription, no hosting fees, no vendor lock-in. It's yours.

Modify it, extend it, or just use it exactly as built. The code lives on your machine and belongs to you.

Why a spec and not a finished app?

A finished app is someone else's product. You pay monthly, you play by their rules, and if they shut down, you lose everything.

A spec builds something that's actually yours. Your data stays on your machine. You can change it whenever you want. And you never pay another subscription fee.

Your data stays local

No cloud accounts. No data sharing. Your app runs on your machine and your data never leaves it.

Built around you

Each spec builds an app tailored to your setup. It's not a generic template. It's software made for how you work.

$7 once vs $15/month forever

Most SaaS tools charge $10–50 per month for features you barely use. A spec costs the same as a coffee and works forever.

No experience needed

The spec handles all the architecture decisions. Your job is to follow along and run the build.

Common questions

Do I need to know how to code?

No. Claude Code handles the actual coding. Your role is to follow the step-by-step instructions in the spec and paste commands when prompted. If something goes wrong, the spec tells you what to do.

What is Claude Code?

Claude Code is an AI coding agent made by Anthropic. It runs in your terminal and can write, edit, and run code on your machine. You can download it for free at claude.ai/claude-code.

What does a spec actually contain?

A spec is a structured markdown document that gives Claude Code a complete set of instructions: the tech stack to use, the build steps in order, the exact commands to run, and warnings about common failure points. Think of it as a detailed brief that removes all ambiguity.

Is it safe to paste a spec into Claude Code?

Every spec on specsy goes through automated security scanning and manual admin review before it's published. We read every spec before it goes live. If it doesn't pass, it doesn't go up.

What if my build fails?

Specs are tested before publishing, so common failure points are already called out. If you get stuck, reach out via hello@specsy.io and we'll help.

Can I resell or share a spec I've bought?

No. Specs are licensed for personal use only. Each purchase is for one builder.
